Project overview

A dedicated digital community for law students

Let's Speak Law brings professional networking, educational content and social interaction into one focused platform.

Let's Speak Law is an early-stage social media startup designed specifically for law students.

The product combines elements of professional networks and modern visual social platforms. Students will be able to build profiles, share legal and educational content, discover other students and participate in a focused legal community.

Unlike general-purpose social networks, the platform is centered around a clearly defined audience and aims to provide both social engagement and professional value.

Startup story

Where law and technology meet

The project reflects both my original legal education and my current software engineering path.

Building something for a community I understand

Before moving into computer science and software development, I completed my bachelor's education in law.

This background helped me understand the challenges law students face when trying to find relevant communities, educational content, professional contacts and opportunities in one place.

Let's Speak Law was created from that intersection: legal domain knowledge combined with software and product development.

Problem and solution

Creating a focused alternative to general social platforms

The product addresses the lack of a dedicated online environment for law students.

01

The problem

Relevant student communities are often fragmented

  • Legal content is distributed across unrelated platforms
  • General social networks are not focused on law students
  • Professional networking platforms can feel overly formal
  • Useful student discussions can be difficult to discover
  • Students lack one central environment for connection and growth
02

The solution

One social and professional platform built around law students

Student profiles with academic and professional information
A focused feed for educational and legal content
Social discovery and networking between law students
Community discussions and knowledge sharing
A modern experience designed for ongoing engagement

Product challenges

What requires the most thought

Building a startup involves product, user and collaboration challenges in addition to technical implementation.

01

CHALLENGE 01

Defining a focused product identity

The product needed a clear identity built specifically around law students rather than feeling like a generic copy of an existing social network.

02

CHALLENGE 02

Balancing professional and social experiences

The platform needs to remain engaging and modern while maintaining enough professional value for networking and career development.

03

CHALLENGE 03

Planning an expandable feature set

The MVP needs a focused scope that can gradually expand without making the product unnecessarily complex.

04

CHALLENGE 04

Building a product as a team

The project requires coordination across ideas, design decisions, technical implementation and long-term product direction.
